Rain threat to Warwick

Tomorrow’s fixture at Warwick is subject to the course passing a precautionary inspection at 7.00am ahead of racing.

Officials have announced an early check with conditions currently heavy and plenty of rain around.

Clerk of the course Fiona Needham said: “We’ve had nearly half an inch of rain.

“We are raceable at the moment, but it is still raining and obviously we just need to bear in mind that we could get a bit more yet.

“It appears we are going to get a bit more than has been forecast, but it is supposed to clear away this evening so that should hopefully give us a bit of a chance.”
