Wetherby may turn to contingency plan

Provisional plans have been put in place for an all-hurdle card at Wetherby on January 12 should the track still be waterlogged.

The chase course at the West Yorkshire track is to be inspected on January 9, with a decision on the races over fences due to be taken.

As a precaution, the British Horseracing Authority have put together three extra hurdle contests which will close on January 7.
