Pipe eyes Haydock for Osana

Impressive Cheltenham winner Osana could have his next start in the Bonusprint.com Champion Hurdle Trial at Haydock on January 19.

David Pipe’s imposing five-year-old beat a high class field comfortably in the Boylesports.com International, with current champion Sublimity among those toiling behind.

And Pipe, who is enjoying a dream run at present, has highlighted a trip to Merseyside next for the improving type.

“He does not have many options, but the Champion Hurdle Trial at Haydock and the Kingwell Hurdle at Wincanton the following month are races he could go for,” said Pipe.

“He has come out of Cheltenham well, but we want to get Christmas out of the way before making a fixed plan for him.

“The Haydock race would come a month after his last run and, as he had a month between his two runs at Cheltenham this season, that would be fine,” he told the Racing Post.
