Hughes ready for the jumps

Richard Hughes is looking forward to having his first ride over jumps for more than a year when he teams up with Lyceum at Ascot on Saturday.

The top Flat jockey, who took out a jumps licence last month, rides the five-year-old for his father, Dessie Hughes, in the Foundation Developments Novices’ Hurdle.
