Prince Hamlet wins EBF Maiden Stakes at Southwell

Some tight finishes warmed the hands and exercised the vocal chords of the Southwell punters on a particularly crisp and clear afternoon at the all-weather venue.

Yet the most promising performance was put up by one of the easiest winners in the shape of Prince Hamlet, who took the EBF Maiden Stakes by a length and a quarter for Bryan Smart.
