Frosty Doncaster abandoned
Doncaster have been forced to abandon this afternoon’s meeting due to a frozen track.
Clerk of the course David Williams’ decision was relatively straightforward after another baltic night on Town Moor.
“Overnight temperatures got to just three degrees below so unfortunately it’s bad news,” reported Williams.
“The temperature started to fall at 2am this morning once the cloud-cover cleared.
“It’s also getting colder, so we’ve had to abandon.”
Friday’s card at the Yorkshire venue was also a casualty of the recent cold snap.
