The Listener wins Durkan chase

The Listener put up an exemplary performance to run out an emphatic winner of the John Durkan Memorial Chase at Punchestown.

Sent off an even-money chance, the eight-year-old grey made every yard of the running and jumped for fun in the hands of Daryl Jacob.

Mansony loomed up as a potential danger some way out but had no answer in the home straight, eventually having to settle for second spot – 19 lengths behind the winner.
