Faasel handed Boylesports assignment

Faasel is to be aimed at the Boylesports.com International at Cheltenham on December 15.

Nicky Richards’ six-year-old, who gave Black Jack Ketchum plenty to think about in the West Yorkshire Hurdle at Wetherby on his seasonal reappearance, is set to drop back to two miles for the Grade One contest.

He held an entry in the wbx.com Rehearsal Chase at Newcastle this weekend but will instead take on the best hurdlers around, with current champion Sublimity among a high-class list of possibles for the race.

“Faasel is in great nick but we’ve decided not to go to Newcastle this weekend,” said Richards

“Instead we are going to go for the Boylesports Hurdle at Cheltenham two weeks on Saturday.”
