Demon booked for Peterborough repeat

Racing Demon remains on schedule to improve Henrietta Knight’s formidable record in the totesport.com Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon on Saturday.

The Grade Two event has long been mentioned by Knight as the target for last year’s impressive winner, while the trainer herself has taken seven of the previous nine runnings.

There are 17 other entries at this stage, although it is likely to cut up extensively with Taranis, Aces Four, My Way De Solzen and Madison Du Berlais all entered for the Betfair Chase among other races at the weekend.

And with Graham Lee, Timmy Murphy and Sam Thomas also almost certainly unavailable, an opportunity opens up for a new rider for Racing Demon.

Monet’s Garden also has the Paddy Power Tingle Creek Chase on his agenda next month, but among the other interesting potential runners are Jonjo O’Neill’s ex-French Newman Des Plages, Ungaro, Lucifer Bleu and Lennon.
