Criquette Head-Maarek’s Full Of Gold emerged an impressive winner of the Criterium de Saint-Cloud – the final Group One race of the European Flat season.

Supplemented for the race earlier in the week, the colt appears to be improving at a rate of knots and Thierry Gillet always looked comfortable.

Mick Channon’s Siberian Tiger made some headway in the straight and looked likely to challenge at one stage, but eventually finished fifth of six runners.

Hannouma finished strongly to claim second, two lengths adrift of the classy winner.

Head-Maarek’s Putney Bridge was third, while the Aidan O’Brien-trained duo, New Zealand and Tale Of Two Cities, were fourth and sixth respectively.
