Nina Carberry is set to miss several weeks of action and almost certainly the Cheltenham Open meeting after breaking her collarbone.

The leading amateur rider was involved in a nasty incident at Punchestown on Wednesday when her mount Northern Command was one of four horses brought down.

It was caused by Superior Ben slipping and his rider Paddy Kennedy has a suspected fracture of his left leg.

Carberry’s agent Shane Lyons said: “The collarbone is broken, so I should think she will tbe out for the best part of three weeks.”
