Jumping greats at Kempton

Kempton Park will stage a unique race that will bring together some of the greatest National Hunt jockeys of all time on October 21.

Richard Dunwoody, John Francome, Peter Scudamore, Norman Williamson, Adrian Maguire, Charlie Swan, Brendan Powell, Steve Smith Eccles, Simon Sherwood, Hywel Davies, Colin Brown and Kempton’s clerk of the course Brian Clifford will all take part.

The NH Legends Charity Race is being run in order to raise awareness for Dunwoody’s ’Shackleton South Pole Expedition 2007’ which he embarks on in November, tackling a 650-mile route that has never been conquered before.

The expedition will raise money for his three chosen charities – Spinal Research, SPARKS (Sport Aiding Medical Research for Kids) and Racing Welfare.
