Lady set to return
Confidential Lady could have her first start of the season in the Prix de l’Opera at Longchamp on October 7.
Mark Prescott’s filly, who won the French Oaks last season, has not been out this term due to a series of little niggles.
But Chris Richardson, managing director of the owners, Cheveley Park Stud, says a return is imminent.
“Balls are still in the air, but we are considering the Prix de l’Opera for her first run of the year,” said Richardson.
“She has taken a long time to come to herself and has had lots of niggly little problems on an ongoing basis such as giving dirty scopes.
“We have taken the view that she will tell us when she’s ready, and I know that Sir Mark is happier with her now than he has been all year,” he told the Racing Post.
“Mark is very good at producing fillies late in the season, when they can often be very effective, and we hope that proves to be the case with Confidential Lady.”
