Richard Hughes and his father-in-law Richard Hannon teamed up to dominate Kempton’s eight-race bonanza as the trainer-jockey combination both posted trebles, highlighted by Edge Closer’s success in the TFM Networks Handicap.

The improving 11-10 favourite was winning his third race on the bounce and after travelling powerfully behind the leaders, he forged clear to take the six-furlong event by a cosy half-length.
