Plans fluid for Silkwood
Ribblesdale Stakes winner Silkwood is starting to return to form after her disappointing effort at York last week – although her next outing is yet to be decided.
Having scored by an impressive five lengths at Royal Ascot, Michael Jarvis’ filly put up a mystifyingly performance in the Yorkshire Oaks, in which she trailed home last behind Peeping Fawn.
“She just wasn’t herself for a few days afterwards but she seems to be looking better now,” said Jarvis. “There are no plans for her at present.”
Silkwood holds entries in next month’s Irish National Stud Blandford Stakes, as well as the Emirates Airline Champion Stakes in October.
