Crosspeace bows out

Crosspeace, twice a winner at Glorious Goodwood last season, has been retired to stud.

The five-year-old, who has not raced since last September, will stand at Dairy House Stud in Wiltshire, England from next spring after notching six wins in a 29-race career.

Crosspeace was owned by Favourites Racing and racing manager Graham Skeats told the Racing Post: “Crosspeace was a marvellous horse for us and we’re delighted to have found him a place at stud for next year.

“He was brave, tenacious and genuine, just like so many horses trained by Mark Johnston, and he took us to a huge number of places, from Doncaster to Dubai, and from Newbury to Norway.”
