Alexander Tango is on target for the UAE Royal Whip Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.

Tommy Stack’s consistent three-year-old will be taking on older colts for the first time in the Group Two contest.

The Danehill Dancer filly appreciated the drop in grade on her last start when comfortably winning a Listed race.

Stack’s son and assistant, Fozzy, is hoping her progress can continue.

“She’s on target for the race and she’s in good form,” he said.

“She’s won a Guineas trial and a Listed race, she’s a good filly. She’s improving and we are hopeful of a big run on Sunday.

“It will be her first time taking on older colts but there were older fillies in the Listed race she won the other day. It looks a pretty open race but I suppose it depends where Finsceal Beo and Yellowstone go.”
