Uttoxeter pass morning inspection
This afternoon’s meeting at Uttoxeter has passed an early-morning inspection - but heavy rain could be on its way.
Clerk of the course Keith Ottesen brought forward his intended 7.30am check after just one millimetre of rainfall since 6am.
Ottesen is still taking nothing for granted, however, due to a bad forecast before midday.
He said: “We are fine at the moment but there is, however, 10 to 15 millimetres of rain forecast up until 12pm.
“We will have to wait and see.”
The going at Uttoxeter is currently heavy, soft in places.
