Lingfield goes ahead

Officials at Lingfield have cancelled their 8am inspection and racing goes ahead.

Clerk of the course Neil Mackenzie Ross had planned to check conditions following heavy rain on Friday but he is satisfied with the state of the track.

He said: “Everything is fine here. We have no need for the 8am inspection as we took a look at 6am and we are happy with conditions.

“We had a dry night and it’s bright now, so hopefully we will have a nice day.”
