Pie set for Arlington challenge

Mark Wallace is eyeing a trip to America with useful juvenile filly Eat Pie.

The daughter of Thunder Gulch was a winner on the all-weather at Lingfield earlier in the month before stepping up in class to finish seventh in last week’s Cherry Hinton Stakes at Newmarket.

Although Wallace has entered the filly for the Ballygallon Stud Debutante Stakes at the Curragh on August 12 and York’s Jaguar Cars Lowther Stakes, a visit to Arlington is a more likely option.

Wallace said: “She won’t run at the Curragh or York as we are looking at America.

“There is a chance she will go to run in a Grade Three fillies’ race at Arlington at the start of September.”
