Falmouth Stakes heroine Simply Perfect could be back in Group One action before the end of the month as connections mull a run in Deauville’s Prix d’Astarte.
The French event on July 29 is preferred to an appearance at Glorious Goodwood, while a trip to America later in the year is also very much on the cards.
Shalfleet trainer Jeremy Noseda said: “At this stage I would hope that we can have a tilt at the Prix d’Astarte next. We will most probably look there instead of the Nassau.
“We will maybe finish off the year with a crack at the Sun Chariot and then possibly head over to North America for a Grade One on the turf.
“There are several options over there and the race that particularly appeals to me is the EP Taylor at Woodbine (October 21).”
Noseda again saluted Simply Perfect’s jockey Johnny Murtagh for his well-judged front-running ride in Wednesday’s Newmarket showpiece, as well as heaping praise on regular exercise rider Sean Travis.
Noseda added: “Of course I was delighted with yesterday’s victory and I’ve got to give great credit to Johnny for the tactics – it was a brilliant ride.
“The other person I want to mention is Sean Travis who has put in a lot of hard work with Simply Perfect. She is a tough old thing to ride and he sits on her every day and has done a great job.”
