Speciosa out of Falmouth

Speciosa has been declared a non-runner for this afternoon’s UAE Hydra Properties Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket.

As expected, Pam Sly withdrew her 1000 Guineas heroine in accordance with a veterinary certificate.

Sly on Tuesday expressed concerns her four-year-old, who returned to form at the Curragh last month, was showing signs of being in season.

The field for the Group One Falmouth has therefore been reduced to seven runners.
