Happy Henry sees the light

Henry Cecil is in bullish mood ahead of Light Shift’s quest for the Oaks double at the Curragh on Sunday.

Cecil’s Epsom heroine delighted the Warren Place handler when completing her preparation for the Darley Irish Oaks with a workout on Tuesday morning.

The daughter of Kingmambo was supplemented for the race to the tune of €50,000 and is Cashmans’ 7-4 favourite to become only the 12th filly to complete the Epsom-Curragh Oaks double.

Cecil told the Racing Post: “She is very relaxed and did everything we asked of her and she is in great form.

“I am delighted with her and she just needs some luck.”
