Thirsk to go ahead

This evening's meeting at Thirsk has passed a 2pm inspection and will go ahead as scheduled.

Despite the adverse morning conditions, Tetley was able to give the meeting the all-clear on inspection.

He added: “It’s OK at the moment and we are going to race.

“We have had further rain but it’s not been torrential, which is the important thing as all the water (on track) has gone.”
