Jumba delight for Harrington

Jessica Harrington got a winner on the board on Irish Derby day when taking the opening Budweiser Guinness Handicap with Jumbajukiba.

Sporting first-time blinkers, the 14-1 chance was settled nearer last than first throughout the early stages as My Paris cut out the running.

King Of Tory took over at the head of affairs two furlongs out, but his lead was shortlived as Fran Berry swooped down the outside on Jumbajukiba, who stayed on best of all to beat Settigano by one and three-quarter lengths.

“Fran (Berry) says he got there too soon but this is great and it’s a nice one to win,” said Harrington.

“I don’t know where we’ll go next so we’ll just have to see.”
