Saint Cloud target for Mandesha
Mandesha will face five rivals as she makes her seasonal bow in Sunday’s Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud in France.
The Alain de Royer-Dupre-trained four-year-old was a triple Group One winner last term but connections decided to swerve a trip to Royal Ascot in favour of this 12-furlong contest.
Mick Channon’s Youmzain and the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Mountain High, the mount of Kieren Fallon, are the only British contenders.
Irish Wells finished second to Dylan Thomas in the Prix Ganay earlier in the season and represents Francois Rohaut, while Ponte Tresa and Prince Flori complete the line-up.
