Eagle considered for Curragh clash
Eagle Mountain is likely to spearhead Aidan O’Brien’s team for the Budweiser Irish Derby on Sunday week.
The Vodafone Derby runner-up is one of four possibles at this stage for the Ballydoyle handler, who is chasing a fifth success in the race.
O’Brien, who also landed the Curragh feature with Dylan Thomas last year, told the Racing Post: “Eagle Mountain came out of his race at Epsom well and is in good form so far.
“The plan is to run him in the Irish Derby – Solider Of Fortune, Spanish Harlem and Alexander Of Hales are also possibles for the race.”
