Knight feeling blue

Recent Goodwood Listed winner Illustrious Blue will miss next week’s Royal Ascot meeting.

William Knight’s four-year-old – five times a winner at his local Sussex track - has suffered a setback and will be out until later in the season.

The trainer told www.wknightracing.co.uk: “He came back lame from Goodwood and has a ’slab’ fracture in the third carpal bone – the bottom part of his knee - of his near fore.

“He won’t be on the racetrack again until mid-September.”
