Rags To Riches is set to drop back to 10 furlongs after her thrilling success in the Belmont Stakes.

Rags To Riches is set to drop back to 10 furlongs after her thrilling success in the Belmont Stakes.

The Todd Pletcher-trained filly became the first of her sex to win the mile-and-a-half Classic in 102 years when she edged out Curlin at Belmont Park last Saturday.

Although no definite decision has been made on Rags To Riches’ next target, Pletcher is leaning towards the fillies-only Coaching Club American Oaks on July 21.

“I would say the most likely scenario at this point is the Coaching Club, but there’s no urgency to make a decision,” he told www.bloodhorse.com

Rags To Riches, who is owned by Coolmore’s Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith, has won each of her last five starts including the Kentucky Oaks.
