Saeed bin Suroor expects a good run from Tam Lin when the four-year-old has his first race for Godolphin in the Betfair Brigadier Gerard Stakes at Sandown tomorrow.

The colt, who won four of his six starts when trained by Sir Michael Stoute, was last seen finishing second to Blue Monday at Newbury in September.

“Tam Lin is working very well. This is his first race of the season and he will improve for it, but I am happy with him so far,” said bin Suroor.

“We’re starting him off over a mile and a quarter and we’ll see how he runs before making future plans. He has a few options at Royal Ascot.

“Good to soft ground should be fine for Tam Lin and we’re looking for a good run from him at Sandown,” the trainer told www.godolphin.com
