Time tops Oaks candidates

Henry Cecil’s Musidora Stakes heroine Passage Of Time heads 18 fillies who remain at the second forfeit stage for the Vodafone Oaks at Epsom on June 1.

The Khalid Abdullah-owned filly is as short as 6-4 favourite with Coral to give Cecil an eighth success in the Classic.

Cecil is also represented by recent Chester winner Light Shift.

The second and third from the Musidora, Sweet Lilly and Sues Surprise, could take on Passage Of Time once again.

Ed Dunlop, who won the race in 2004 with Ouija Board, is represented by impressive Pretty Polly Stakes winner Dalvina.

Aidan O’Brien, in search of his fourth Oaks success, has four possibles headed by All My Loving, second to Light Shift at Chester, Cherry Hinton, Nell Gwyn and Peeping Fawn.

The Irish challenge is supplemented by John Oxx’s Four Sins, an impressive scorer in a Group Three event at Naas recently.

Godolphin, who last won the Oaks in 2002 with Kazzia, are likely to rely on Measured Tempo, winner of the Swettenham Stud Fillies Trial at Newbury. Folk Opera could also represent the operation.

Sir Michael Stoute just has one remaining entry, Dance Of Light, winner of a Salisbury maiden this week.

Three fillies who ran in the 1000 Guineas are possibles – Simply Perfect, Satulagi and Darrfonah.

Michael Jarvis, winner of the 2005 Oaks with Eswarah, could run Silkwood, while the list of acceptors is completed by Ransom Captive.
