Knight and Doe to face disciplinary panel
Trainer William Knight and jockey Paul Doe have been charged by the Horseracing Regulatory Authority over the running and riding of Postgraduate at Windsor last month.
The five-year-old finished ninth in the Coral Backing NSPCC Handicap Stakes at Windsor on April 16 and the HRA have decided the matter should be considered by the disciplinary panel.
They will consider whether Doe breached Rule 157, concerning whether the rider has intentionally failed to ensure that his horse has run on its merits.
Knight faces the panel under Rule 155 (ii), which considers whether he gave adequate instructions to Doe.
A date for the hearing has yet to be confirmed.
