Astronomer Royal wins French 2000 Guineas for O'Brien

Astronomer Royal, trained by Aidan O'Brien and ridden by Colm O'Donoghue, won the Poule d'Essai des Poulains at Longchamp.

Manning and Bolger suffered further heartache when Creachadoir was swallowed up in the final strides of the Poule d'Essai des Poulains by the Aidan O'Brien-trained Astronomer Royal.
