Mixed feelings for Asmussen

Steve Asmussen was in philosophical mood after Kentucky Derby favourite Curlin was handed stall two for the Churchill Downs showpiece on Saturday.

The classy three-year-old is still unbeaten and goes into the race on the back of a record 10-and-a-half length win in the Grade Two Arkansas Derby at Oaklawn Park last month.
