Kevin Prendergast is hoping the dry weather continues ahead of Haatef’s bid for glory in the Stan James 2000 Guineas at Newmarket on Saturday.

The County Kildare trainer scrapped plans to run the Danzig colt in a Classic trial because the ground was unsuitable and is happy that the going at headquarters is currently described as good to firm.
