Reveillez fine after Gold Cup stumble
Reveillez was reported to be "A1" today by James Fanshawe after stumbling and losing a shoe in the Betfred Gold Cup.
The JP McManus-owned grey put up a courageous performance to finish second to Hot Weld in the Sandown feature despite momentarily losing his footing passing the stands with a circuit to go.
"He's A1. He's been out in the paddock and is absolutely fine," said the Newmarket trainer.
"He ran very well and I was delighted with him. I'm not sure what the plans are but I'd say he's most likely to go on holiday now.
"He's got to improve a bit again for next season, but he won at Aintree and he's had a good year."
