Mighty Man completed back-to-back victories in the John Smith’s Liverpool Hurdle with a smooth success in the opening event of the 2007 Grand National meeting at Aintree.

Pushed into the lead by Richard Johnson after the sixth-last flight, the Henry Daly-trained gelding galloped all the way to the line in the extended three-mile contest.

The 15-8 shot powered to victory by 13 lengths from Black Jack Ketchum, the 7-4 favourite, with Inglis Drever another nine lengths away in third.
