Willie Mullins has decided to run Homer Wells in Saturday's John Smith's Grand National and will now be four-handed in the Aintree feature.

The Irish handler had planned to run 2005 winner Hedgehunter as well as Livingstonebramble and Bothar Na with Homer Wells set to miss out.

However, the nine-year-old is now a late addition to Mullins' team following discussions with owner Violet O'Leary.

"They tell me Aintree are watering well, so we have decided to let Homer Wells have a go," said Mullins.

"He won his bumper on good ground, so I don't think the going will be a problem."

David Condon will partner Homer Wells while Ruby Walsh will be aboard Hedgehunter again.

Davy Russell and David Casey will ride Livingstonebramble and Bothar Na respectively.
