Beatrix heads straight for Guineas
Goffs Million winner Miss Beatrix will be aimed for the Stan James 1000 Guineas at Newmarket without a prep run.
Kevin Prendergast’s Danehill Dancer filly beat the colts in the most expensive race ever run in Ireland to follow up her victory in the Group One Moyglare Stud Stakes.
Prendergast will resist the temptation to give her an outing before May 6, however, and hopes she will be in top shape for the fillies’ Classic.
“She’s coming along great. She’s going to start off at Newmarket – she’ll go straight for the Guineas,” said Prendergast.
“She had a great season last year, she won the Moyglare and the Goffs Million so she hasn’t done too much wrong.
“If she never wins another race again we can’t complain. She owes us nothing.”
Miss Beatrix is as low as 16-1 with the sponsors for the Stan James 1000 Guineas.
