Peter Makin’s classy sprinter has won at Group level on three occasions in the past and showed he retains plenty of dash when scoring in the Champagne Sprint Stakes last July.

He is likely to appear alongside the usual suspects in some of the season’s best sprints again and Makin hopes he can have another profitable summer.

“He’s wintered very well and we have plenty to work on but we’re in no rush and he’ll probably run somewhere in May and we’ll go on from there,” he said.

“We’ll aim really for Ascot again with him and try and get a run or two into him before that. These sprinters all seem to take it in turn and if you get a good draw it could be you on the day.

“He deserves to win a big one and he’s definitely back to his best.”
