Aranleigh finished for season

Aranleigh, who finished third in the Weatherbys Champion Bumper, is unlikely to run again this term.

The five-year-old was two and three-quarter lengths behind Cork All Star in the Cheltenham Festival event on Wednesday but connections are unlikely to bid for compensation at either Aintree or Punchestown.

“I don’t think he will run again (this season),” trainer Tony Mullins told At The Races.

“I talked to JP (McManus, owner) for the first time about him since the race and we have decided he will probably go down to Enda Bolger’s for a little bit of schooling and work this summer.”
