Jamie Moore will not be able to ride at the Cheltenham Festival after losing his appeal against a ban.

Moore was banned for eight days (March 9-16) after being found guilty of improper riding on the unplaced Running Hot in the Southern FM Novices’ Handicap Chase on February 26.

The rider appeared before the disciplinary panel of the Horseracing Regulatory Authority on Thursday morning in a bid to reduce the length of the suspension.

However, the panel dismissed his appeal and ordered that Moore’s deposit of £500 (€735) be forfeited.
