Ayr cancel inspection

Officials at Ayr have cancelled their planned 7.30am inspection and racing goes ahead.

Clerk of the course Katherine Self decided not to check conditions after temperatures stayed above freezing overnight.

She said: “We don’t need the inspection. We didn’t have a frost overnight - the temperature only got to plus one.

“It’s going to be a nice day today. The sun is coming up and the temperature is already rising so we have nothing to worry about.”
