Turn has Huntingdon aim

My Turn Now has fully recovered from his fall in the Tolworth Hurdle and is likely to take his chance in Thursday’s vcbet.co.uk Sidney Banks Memorial Novices’ Hurdle at Huntingdon.

Charlie Mann’s five-year-old rattled up an impressive four-race winning sequence before being upped in class for the Sandown event.

He was in the process of running a huge race before a nasty spill at the final flight, but Mann reports My Turn Now to be ready for action again and has an alternative target at Kempton in case the Huntingdon ground goes against him.

“The race at Huntingdon on Thursday would possibly be the right race for him over two and a half miles as I want to run him in the Ballymore Properties at the Festival,” said Mann.

“I would like to get a race into him before Cheltenham and as long as the ground is not too soft, he will probably go to Huntingdon. If it is soft he will probably go to Kempton.

“He’s fully recovered from his fall at Sandown and there is not a bother on him. It would be nice to get a clear round in before Cheltenham.

“The aim is a confidence booster but obviously we will be there to win.”

My Turn Now is 20-1 with totesport for next month’s Ballymore Properties Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
