Jessica Kurten, currently ranked fourth in the world, rode her new eight year-old Castle Forbes Lord Lancer into a creditable third place, while Tipperary's Denis Lynch slotted Le Beau 37 into fifth in a field of 31 starters.

Kurten broke the beam just under one-and-a-half seconds shy of American winner Peter Wylde's time of 32.56 seconds.
