Holy Roman Emperor, second-favourite for the Stan James 2000 Guineas, is an eyecatching nomination for the American Triple Crown.

A total of 450 horses have been put forward for the series, which encompasses the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes, with Aidan O’Brien’s Classic hopeful the most high-profile European contender.
