Kurten third in Switzerland
Irish rider Jessica Kurten showed a return to form tonight when she placed third in the Credit Suisse Grand Prix at Zurich, Switzerland.
In a closely-fought battle at the five-star event, the 37 year-old Kurten was just fractions of a second behind German winner Christian Ahlmann, with Britain's Robert Whitaker squeezing into second place.
Kurten, who was riding her 13 year-old bay mare Quibell, picked up €8400 for her place, while Ahlmann collected €18,500.
The result also gives the Irish rider qualification for Friday's Mercedes Swiss Master competition at Zurich.
