Hereford have called a precautionary inspection for 7.30am ahead of tomorrow’s meeting.

Temperatures are forecast to drop below freezing overnight and clerk of the course Gemma Charrington felt it prudent to take an early look.

She said: “We got down to minus three last night and it was around zero or plus one when I came in but the sun is up and we would race today.

“We are forecast as low as minus three overnight and there is due to be cloud cover moving in in the early hours with temperatures forecast to go up to plus seven.

“We felt we should call an inspection just in case it drops a bit lower than forecast.”
