Soggy Chepstow hold inspection

Chepstow’s meeting on Friday is dependent on the course passing a 3pm inspection this afternoon.

Ten millimetres of overnight rain has left the track heavy, waterlogged in places.

Clerk of the course Tim Long said: “We have had 150 millimetres of rain already in January and, although I don’t want to prejudge anything, we would need a significant amount of improvement to give it the go-ahead.”
