Bobbin on Scottish National trail

Bob Bob Bobbin is to be prepared for a possible tilt at the Scottish Grand National after missing the Welsh equivalent due to a setback.

Colin Tizzard had planned the eight-year-old’s campaign around the Chepstow marathon but he had to miss the race after he was cast in his box on Christmas Day.

“Bob Bob Bobbin is just back in work now but I don’t know when he’ll run next and we have no particular race in mind,” said Tizzard.

“He likes it soft but arguably his best hurdle form was on watered good ground at the Cheltenham Festival so we are not afraid of running him on good ground.

“The Scottish National at this stage would be a lovely race for him.

“We were forced to miss the Welsh National but he’s had a mid-season break and can have four or five runs in the spring.”
